Description
The Measurement Technician performs shipbuilding measurements and quality checks on production-built sections and grand blocks, interprets engineering drawings, records and submits measurements, maintains equipment and calibration records, prepares product reports, and trains less experienced team members. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, measurement or quality-control experience or five years of shipbuilding experience, familiarity with AVEVA, print-reading and mathematical skills, knowledge of theodolites and digital instruments, and experience with advanced measuring equipment. It is an on-site, full-time, safety-sensitive position with physical demands including lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
