Description
The ACH Exceptions Specialist manages the end-to-end processing and resolution of ACH exceptions, returns, disputes, NSF items, stop payments, and related payment activity. The role serves as the bank’s primary ACH subject matter expert, escalates regulatory, legal, compliance, fraud, and operational-risk concerns, reconciles ACH settlement accounts, monitors return activity, supports audits and regulatory examinations, develops ACH procedures, and provides training and guidance to internal departments. The position requires AAP certification, extensive ACH operations experience, knowledge of Nacha Rules and Regulation E, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and related applications.
