Description
The Activity Director develops and oversees resident activity programs in a healthcare or residential care facility, tailoring social, spiritual, creative, educational, exercise, and community activities to residents' needs and well-being. The role includes creating monthly calendars, supervising activity aides and volunteers, assessing resident goals, documenting MDS reports and progress notes, participating in care planning and QAPI meetings, helping manage the activity budget, and building family and community partnerships. A high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an Activity Director training course, at least two years of social or recreational program experience, and strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
