Description
The Activity Therapist provides therapeutic recreational and activity services to adult, adolescent, or child patients at Dallas Behavioral Healthcare Hospital who are receiving care for emotional or substance abuse problems. The role involves developing and implementing treatment plans, conducting individual, family, educational, and process-oriented group therapies, documenting progress, coordinating with clinical staff and outside providers, and maintaining compliance with safety, infection control, security, and legal requirements. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant therapy field, CTRS certification, at least two years of relevant experience preferred, and strong communication, assessment, PC, and time-management skills.
