Description
Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey is hiring an Actuarial Intern for its Newark, New Jersey facility. The intern will work with the Actuary/Analytics team on data mapping, data acquisition, reserve calculations, pricing analysis, experience studies, financial projections, and other actuarial and quantitative tasks. The role requires an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics, strong mathematics and statistics skills, intermediate or advanced Excel, VBA or SQL knowledge, at least one completed actuarial exam, and strong communication skills. The internship is hybrid, with two days per week in the office, runs from June 7, 2027 through August 19, 2027, and follows an 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. schedule.
