Description
The ADA Specialist supports Chicago Public Schools in administering reasonable accommodations for employees, volunteers, contractors, and adult members of the public under the ADA and other applicable laws. The role reviews accommodation requests, conducts interviews and site visits, coordinates implementation, maintains confidential records, investigates complaints, develops administrative processes, analyzes accessibility data, and serves as an ADA liaison. It is a full-time exempt position requiring a high school diploma or GED plus seven years of relevant benefits, leaves, disability administration, or human resources experience, or a bachelor’s degree plus three years of related experience. Spanish-English bilingual proficiency, travel between district offices and schools, and knowledge of workplace accommodation laws are required or preferred.
