Description
The adjunct faculty member will teach assigned courses, prepare syllabi and instructional materials, deliver content aligned with student learning outcomes, participate in assessment, maintain records, and support students and colleagues. The role is temporary and contracted as needed, with compensation of $2,000 per 3 semester hours. Applicants must demonstrate teaching skills and subject knowledge, preferably at the community college level, and meet one of three chemistry-related education requirements: 18 graduate semester hours plus a master’s degree, a master’s degree with a major in chemistry or a related field, or a doctoral degree with a major in chemistry or a related field. The position also requires instructional technology proficiency, effective communication, and the ability to travel across the campus.
