Wabtec is hiring a Traction & Auxiliary Controls Engineer to develop control-system requirements and designs for diesel electric, battery electric, and hybrid diesel-battery locomotives. The role covers hardware integration, control-function development, design validation, testing, defect investigation, and collaboration with systems, software, hardware, and program teams. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in electrical or power-electronics engineering, control-engineering project experience, and willingness to support hardware-in-the-loop simulations and locomotive testing; transportation, power-electronics, battery, and MATLAB/Simulink experience are desired.
