GlobalFoundries Fab 8 is hiring a Process & Equipment Engineering Intern to work with an assigned engineer on improving semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment performance. Responsibilities include reducing process variability, improving defect detection, lowering chemical and qualification-wafer costs, standardizing equipment processes, enhancing performance measurement, leading improvement projects, and collaborating with equipment and maintenance teams. The role requires a sophomore or higher pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or materials science field, a 3.0 GPA, English fluency, and availability for at least 40 hours per week. Preferred qualifications include prior internship or co-op experience, AI and project-management skills, leadership experience, communication and organizational skills, and SPC Controls experience. The expected salary range is $20.00 to $40.00.
