Amazon is hiring an Advanced Packaging Materials Engineer based in the European Union to develop paper-based packaging materials for manual and automated packaging, characterize material properties, establish specifications, and scale solutions with EU suppliers. The role bridges EU and North American materials science teams, aligns global materials strategies, supports automation hardware integration, and collaborates with suppliers, procurement, packaging design, and sustainability teams. Candidates need interdisciplinary product-development, project-management, materials-selection and testing, and manufacturing-scaling experience, plus a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline; a master's degree and pulp, paper, packaging, or related engineering experience are preferred.
