Description
The University of Chicago is hiring an Advanced Practice Provider for its BSD MED Geriatrics - Advanced Practice Providers team to support an inpatient geriatrics consultation service, with possible split between inpatient and outpatient geriatrics care but primarily inpatient (80:20). The role involves independently evaluating and treating hospitalized geriatric patients, making recommendations to the primary service, conducting daily rounds and discharge planning, coordinating with social workers, case managers, physicians, nurses, and skilled nursing facilities, and contributing to protocols, documentation, patient education, and care planning. The position requires a college or university degree, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and current or eligible State of Illinois licensure/registration; it is a salaried, exempt, 40-hour weekly role with benefits and a posted pay range of $128,000 to $163,500.
