Description
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is hiring an advanced Transportation Engineer in its Information Technology Division at the State Headquarters Stassney Campus. The role provides complex civil engineering expertise for bridge, roadway, traffic, construction, maintenance, and related engineering applications; supports districts and divisions; reviews software; develops training; serves as a technical help desk resource; manages complex transportation technology projects; mentors staff; and ensures compliance with state and federal standards. Applicants need a bachelor's degree accepted by the Texas engineering licensing authority, eight years of relevant engineering experience, a valid driver's license, and a Professional Engineer license or the ability to obtain Texas licensure within six months.
