The role requires a relevant master’s degree or equivalent, postgraduate teaching or instructional-technique training, instructional experience within five years, knowledge of life-cycle management, the Systems Approach to Training, configuration management, quality assurance, and specialist knowledge in aerodynamics, aircraft and flight performance, propulsion systems, avionics, meteorology, or 1,500 hours of flying experience.
