HARMAN is hiring a Principal Software Engineer in the System team for its automotive software engineering organization in Bucharest, Romania. The role develops embedded software components for in-vehicle applications, including telematics, 5G, and V2X technologies, and covers architecture, design, C++/Linux development, testing, debugging, requirements analysis, and software quality assurance. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related IT-connected field, at least five years of software development experience with C/C++, embedded Linux, and embedded application development, along with knowledge of inter-process communication, threading, sockets, and software development processes. It offers a hybrid work environment with most office-based work onsite three days per week and an annual gross base salary range of 202,500 to 297,000.
