Description
The Affordability Engineer Staff - Level 4 leads cost-reduction initiatives and strategic affordability guidance for the F-35 program, advises cost-category owners and CRI project leads, monitors budgets and progress, coordinates engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, suppliers, and program stakeholders, and mentors junior affordability engineers. The role also performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses across the product lifecycle, with responsibilities spanning concept through disposal. It requires a STEM bachelor’s degree, cost engineering or cost estimating experience, and experience with manufacturing, production, repairs, or sustainment processes; the listed full-time salary range is $104,900 to $194,700.
