Description
The Childcare Counselor assists in supervising a safe and organized childcare program by planning and leading group activities, maintaining attendance and child safety, serving USDA and HEPA-approved meals and snacks, reporting incidents, and supporting YMCA staff and community relationships. The role requires current CPR/AED/O2 and First Aid training, completion of required Redwoods trainings, YMCA philosophy, and a high school diploma or GED; junior program staff may be 16–17 years old. The starting rate is $11.00 per hour, with junior counselors starting at $10.00 per hour.
