Description
The Maryland School for the Deaf is hiring a part-time After-School Program Teacher Aide for the 2026-2027 school year at its Frederick campus. The role plans and implements daily after-school activities, uses American Sign Language to communicate with deaf and hard-of-hearing students, supports student needs, supervises and maintains safety, handles attendance and parent communication, and may drive students on field trips. A high school diploma or GED, fluency in ASL and written English, knowledge of the deaf community, and the ability to teach students with varying educational backgrounds are required; experience with deaf and hard-of-hearing students is desired. The position pays $20.69-$40.83 per hour and may be eligible for subsidized health benefits for employees working 30 or more hours per week.
