Description
The Aftercare Assistant provides intermediate paraprofessional childcare and recreation support at a City of Parkland recreation center. The role supervises children, ensures their safety and well-being, manages transportation, verifies parent/guardian sign-in and identification, follows emergency and health procedures, and plans crafts, activities, songs, story time, and creative play. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, Level II background clearance, six months of related experience, children’s play and group-activity experience, and valid CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications or the ability to obtain them within six months.
