Description
The Afterschool Core Teacher will create and support a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children ages 4–12 in LREI’s West Village afterschool program. Responsibilities include supporting homework, art projects, group games, cooking projects, and student-led activities; communicating with families; and collaborating with other teachers. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and requires a college degree with a background in education or the arts, experience in an educational program or setting, and the ability to lead age-appropriate group activities; a creative-discipline background is preferred.
