The Penobscot Bay YMCA is hiring part-time Afterschool Program Staff for weekday afternoons at Camden-Rockport Elementary School and floating coverage across Knox County. The role involves creating a safe and inclusive environment, leading games and enrichment activities, supporting children and families, maintaining program routines, and responding to behavior, medical, and emergency situations. Applicants must be at least 16 years old, dependable, comfortable interacting with children, and willing to complete required training; childcare experience is preferred but not required. CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications are required within 30 days of hire, and the position pays $19.00.
