The Greater Burlington YMCA is hiring part-time Afterschool Program Staff for the Georgia Elementary School site in Georgia, Vermont. The role supports the Y Program Director by supervising and engaging children ages 5 to 12 in afterschool programming, including activities such as games, crafts, gym time, swimming, and field trips. The position runs Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM with occasional early release days and vacation camps, starts August 24, 2026, and pays $19.00 to $20.80 per hour depending on experience and education. Minimum requirements include being at least 18, a high school diploma or equivalent, six months of child-related experience, reliable transportation, and passing background and fingerprint checks; preferred qualifications include additional education and experience in child development, special education, trauma-informed care, DEI training, and Vermont afterschool credentials.
