Description

Hipp is hiring an Agent Engineer to build production AI agents that automate healthcare billing, compliance, practice-management, patient-intake, claim-preparation, payment-reconciliation, and operational-reporting workflows. The role owns agents end to end, including workflow design, tool and API integration, orchestration, evaluation, guardrails, monitoring, debugging, and continuous improvement. Candidates should have experience with AI agents, LLM-powered workflows, tools, APIs, databases, asynchronous jobs, and production software engineering, with Python, TypeScript, or another backend language; healthcare billing, HIPAA, agent frameworks, RAG, and human-in-the-loop experience are preferred.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Experience building AI agents, agentic applications, or sophisticated LLM-powered workflows
Experience building systems using tools, APIs, structured outputs, retrieval, memory, or multi-step reasoning
Strong software engineering fundamentals and production code development
Experience designing and integrating APIs, databases, asynchronous jobs, and external services
Experience evaluating agent behavior beyond anecdotal testing
Preferred Qualifications: Healthcare billing, revenue cycle, claims, remittance, eligibility, or practice-management systems
