Description
Gusto is hiring an Agentic Operations Architect to design reusable patterns, standards, and tooling for agentic service workflows, including orchestration, human-in-the-loop protocols, escalation logic, quality safeguards, and workflow metrics. The role also shapes the platform, prioritizes automation opportunities, coordinates with Product, Engineering, Legal, Security, and Compliance, and represents portfolio performance to senior stakeholders. Candidates need 8+ years in operations, product, or AI roles, including at least 2 years designing and deploying AI-assisted or agentic workflows in production, along with hands-on experience with agentic tooling, LLM systems, and responsible AI governance. The role is based in Denver, San Francisco, or New York City and requires office attendance approximately 2–3 days per week.
