Description
Sonar is hiring an Agentic Software Engineer for its Platform Architecture squad in Bochum, Germany. The role focuses on building multi-agent systems that autonomously refactor and modernize Sonar's Java/Spring codebase, including extracting domain logic, unifying SonarQube Cloud and Server architectures, and creating verification gates, automated testing, static analysis, and rollback strategies. The engineer will spend roughly 70% of the time developing agentic tooling and 30% hands-on in the codebase, while partnering with Server, Cloud Platform, and value-stream squads and contributing to architecture standards. The position requires production multi-agent or LLM-agent experience, evaluation or verification systems experience, strong Java/Spring or comparable enterprise-stack fundamentals, and the ability to independently own complex technical problems and influence engineers without managing them.
