Description
Variance is hiring an in-person AI Agent Engineer in San Francisco to own the end-to-end development, evaluation, deployment, and continuous improvement of production-grade AI agents used in fraud, risk, and identity-review workflows. The role partners with customers from discovery through pilots and production, designs technical evaluations and demos, encodes customer judgement into agents, and shapes the long-term roadmap for agentic systems. Candidates should have 3–5 years of customer-facing technical experience, strong software engineering fundamentals, hands-on LLM experience, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to engineers and executives.
