Description
Latch is hiring an Ai Biologist - Metagenomics to evaluate how AI agents reason through complex microbiome and metagenomics datasets. The role involves building ground-truth benchmark datasets from published microbiome studies and testing whether agents can perform analytical and interpretive steps that expert microbiome researchers execute. The position requires a master's or PhD in a relevant biological or bioinformatics field, at least three years of microbiome or metagenomics research experience, expertise in microbiome analysis and confounder identification, and proficiency in Python and/or R. It is a 40-hour-per-week contract with performance-based pay of $120,000–$180,000, and can be remote, hybrid, or onsite in San Francisco.
