Upwind is hiring a backend-focused AI Engineer to build and own agentic workflows for its cloud security intelligence engine. The role involves designing autonomous systems for security operations, developing scalable backend services and APIs, contributing to shared AI infrastructure for models, data pipelines, training, evaluation, and observability, and taking research prototypes into reliable production systems. Candidates should have mid-to-senior engineering or relevant technical military experience, strong backend and ML/AI systems experience, and hands-on production experience with LLMs and agentic frameworks; LangChain or LangGraph, AI evaluation frameworks, and observability are strong advantages.
