Distyl is hiring an AI Engineer to design, implement, deploy, and operate production AI systems in customer environments. The role focuses on building compound workflows combining LLMs, prompts, agents, tools, retrieval, evaluation, feedback, and execution; developing Python services; debugging live systems; and collaborating with customers and subject matter experts. Candidates need at least five years of software engineering experience, fluent French, production software skills, and experience building AI systems. The role is hybrid in New York, requires 3+ days per week in the office, and offers a base salary of $150,000–$250,000 plus equity and benefits.
