Description

Fastmarkets is hiring an AI Engineer to design, build, and ship AI-powered applications and features across agentic systems, LLM workflows, semantic data models, data pipelines, and full-stack user-facing applications. The role requires advanced Python and TypeScript/JavaScript expertise, LLM and prompt-engineering knowledge, agentic-systems experience, Snowflake and semantic-modelling skills, and experience with modern cloud, CI/CD, and data-integration practices. The engineer will work with Anthropic Claude, Snowflake Cortex AI, Next.js, FastAPI, and related technologies, while collaborating with data, product, infrastructure, and business teams.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or 3+ years of professional experience building AI systems, data applications, or production ML systems
Required Previous Experiences: Experience building production API services with FastAPI, Django, or Flask
Experience building or working with agents, ReAct patterns, tool-calling loops, planning, reasoning, and constraint satisfaction
Snowflake expertise, including SQL, Snowpark, zero-copy cloning, and containerised compute
Experience designing data schemas and semantic layers for natural-language querying
Experience integrating REST/GraphQL APIs and transforming data
Experience with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, test automation, deployment pipelines, and infrastructure as code
Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud services
Understanding of data modelling approaches for analytics and AI use cases
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Anthropic Claude and the Anthropic Python SDK
Snowflake Cortex Analyst experience
