K1 Investment Management is hiring an AI Engineer to join its founding AI team in Manhattan Beach, California. The role reports directly to a Founding Partner and focuses on building AI-powered automations, tools, agents, dashboards, data pipelines, and workflows for the firm and its portfolio companies. Responsibilities include using Claude and Microsoft 365, prototyping AI tools, evaluating AI models, and developing agentic workflows. Candidates need a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree, prior AI/ML, software engineering, or data-science experience, proficiency with Claude, Microsoft 365, and Python or JavaScript, and the ability to work in-office five days per week.
