Description

Norton Rose Fulbright is hiring an AI Engineer for its Legal Innovation, Design & Technology practice in London. The role builds end-to-end AI-enabled R&D products, including agentic workflows, retrieval and context, agent and evaluation harnesses, APIs, services, and user interfaces. It is a hands-on full-stack AI engineering position requiring Python and TypeScript, LLM APIs, agent orchestration, AI observability, security, testing, and CI/CD. The engineer will work with product, data, technology, and security teams to deliver secure, observable, maintainable, and evaluated AI products.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: At least three years of professional experience delivering production AI products
Recent experience building AI-enabled products or workflows in a SaaS environment
Experience building AI-enabled products or workflows using LLM APIs, structured outputs, retrieval, embeddings, tool calling, agents, or workflow orchestration
Experience building agentic systems with tools, state and context management, and human-review or approval controls
Experience evaluating AI workflows through test sets, scenarios, experiments, traces, feedback, and grading
Experience taking AI features from prototype into controlled production
Experience with AI observability, tracing, and evaluation tooling
Experience designing APIs and integrating with enterprise systems, including authentication, authorization, secrets, and sensitive data
Experience with Docker, Git, automated testing, and CI/CD
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in legal technology or a law firm
