Barclays is hiring an AI Engineer - VP, Real-Time Data Engineering & Streaming Platforms to lead the design and evolution of enterprise-grade streaming and real-time data capabilities. The role combines hands-on engineering leadership with technical direction, team management, production-quality software development, architecture, delivery, and operational execution of low-latency, resilient, secure streaming platforms at scale. Candidates should have deep experience with real-time data platforms, distributed systems, Java, streaming architectures, and technologies such as Kafka, Pulsar, Kinesis, Flink, or Spark Structured Streaming, along with experience leading engineering teams and managing risk and governance.
