Description

NXP Semiconductors is hiring an AI/ML-driven ASIC Design and Implementation Automation Engineer to develop and evaluate AI/ML and automation techniques for VLSI CAD, ASIC design, verification, and implementation flows. The role collaborates with architecture, IP, SoC design, verification, implementation, design enablement, and academic research teams, working on advanced-node SoCs for Edge-AI, automotive processors, and microcontrollers. It requires strong software development, Python and C++, Unix/Linux, version control, optimization, and familiarity with VLSI CAD, EDA, timing, low-power, and CI/CD tools.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
Required Previous Experiences: 5 years of experience developing complex software projects
Hands-on Python and C++ programming experience
Preferred Qualifications: VLSI CAD methodology and tool development experience
EDA tool experience spanning design, verification, DFT, and implementation
Knowledge of ASIC design/layout constraints, clocks, CDC, RDC, static timing analysis, and UPF power-aware flows
