Apple is hiring an AI/ML Engineer to design and develop AI-enhanced security systems that help researchers navigate large codebases, analyze attack surfaces, and identify vulnerabilities. The role spans custom silicon, micro-architecture, boot ROMs, firmware, kernels, system frameworks, browsers, and user applications, and involves building production-grade tools, tracking AI research, and evaluating systems through real security tests. The position requires machine learning knowledge, agent and tooling experience, strong software engineering skills in Python, C, C++, Swift, and Objective-C, and collaborative problem-solving; experience with LLM training and fine-tuning, security, fuzzing, static analysis, code analysis, reverse engineering, and binary analysis is preferred.
