Description

Katalyst Data Management is hiring a Senior AI/ML Engineer to serve as a technical lead for segments of its AI innovation platform. The role owns architecture and production development for AI projects, manages GPU infrastructure and workload allocation, operates large-scale document ingestion and OCR pipelines, supports CI/CD and containerized deployments, and collaborates with AI and platform engineering teams. It is a full-time hybrid position based in Houston, Texas; Calgary, Alberta; or Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with a Monday-to-Friday schedule and occasional extended hours.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 1–3 years of professional experience in DevOps, systems administration, MLOps, or software engineering
Experience working in small, fast-moving teams with a high degree of autonomy
Experience deploying and managing containerized applications using Docker
Experience supporting production AI, data, or search platforms in high-availability environments
Exposure to large-scale data ingestion or document processing systems
Preferred Qualifications: Oil and gas industry experience or domain knowledge
Experience with GPU-accelerated workloads and the NVIDIA ecosystem
Background in OCR pipelines and large-scale document processing
Familiarity with vision-language models for document understanding
Experience with agent-to-agent or multi-agent AI system patterns
Patent, publication, or conference presentation experience in ML/AI
