Description
The Agency Fund is hiring an AI/ML Engineer to design, build, evaluate, deploy, and improve AI and machine learning systems for nonprofit platforms, including AI coaches, clinical copilots, chatbots, and evaluation infrastructure. The role involves open-source contributions, rapid development, technical documentation, mentoring NGOs, site visits, and translating applied AI research into production tools. Candidates need strong foundations in deep learning and LLMs, at least four years of hands-on ML engineering experience, at least one–two years building LLM-powered applications, Python fluency, and experience evaluating AI systems. The role is fully remote and open to candidates based in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
