The Safety AI team is hiring an AI/ML Engineering Intern for a flexible, ideally six-month internship in Schönaich, near Stuttgart. The role focuses on applying machine learning to humanoid robotics, including multimodal foundation model integration, AI-based fall strategy controllers, real-time ML inference, behavioral safety classifier benchmarking, and evaluation frameworks aligned with ISO/IEC TR 5469. Candidates should be enrolled MSc students in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or Robotics, with strong PyTorch, reinforcement learning, ROS2, and mathematical foundations; foundation model fine-tuning experience is a plus.
