Apple is hiring a Performance Analysis Engineer for its Silicon Modeling and Development Team to build and validate performance models for machine learning applications on Apple Silicon platforms. The role involves analyzing application and platform performance, reasoning about performance data, collaborating with product, hardware, software, firmware, framework, and application teams, and helping define technical requirements for future products. Candidates need a technical degree, at least three years of experience building performance models and validating AI/ML applications on dedicated accelerators, computer architecture knowledge, Python and software engineering skills, and familiarity with machine learning frameworks.
