Dropzone AI is hiring a Senior to Principal-level AI Research Engineer to design and develop agentic AI systems at the intersection of research and production. The role focuses on multi-step reasoning agents, multi-agent coordination, short- and long-term memory systems, evaluation and benchmarking, and translating research into scalable systems. Candidates need at least five years of software engineering experience, including at least one year applying generative AI in production, along with expertise in agent frameworks, retrieval systems, Python, and relevant harness architectures. The position is 100% remote with occasional professional travel and offers a base salary of $200,000 to $250,000 USD plus benefits.
