C3 AI is hiring a client-facing AI Research Scientist to lead the research, design, implementation, and deployment of AI models, agentic solutions, and optimization algorithms for enterprise applications on its C3 AI Platform. The role partners with customers, data scientists, AI engineers, and subject matter experts to build and scale AI applications, improve model performance, and integrate data assets. Candidates need an MS or PhD in a relevant field, hands-on experience across generative AI, agentic systems, supervised and unsupervised learning, and classical methods, along with strong mathematical and distributed-systems knowledge. The position requires travel and offers a California base pay range of $136,000 to $183,000 USD.
