NTT DATA AIVista is hiring an AI Scientist Intern in Palo Alto, California for a 3–6 month research internship, with possible extension. The intern will work with scientists and engineers on foundational AI research involving neurosymbolic methods, knowledge representation, formal methods, multimodal intelligence, feedback-driven learning, evaluation, verification, interpretability, and complex enterprise workflows. Responsibilities include defining research questions, developing algorithms and prototypes, designing experiments and benchmarks, collaborating with domain experts, and moving promising research toward production and publications. The role requires an advanced PhD candidate with a strong research record, deep experience in at least one listed AI area, Python proficiency, and empirical research experience. Preferred qualifications include neurosymbolic methods, knowledge graphs, agent systems, continual learning, process mining, and robust benchmarking. Compensation is $12,500–$14,500 per month, with possible relocation and housing assistance.
