Andromeda Robotics is hiring an AI Software Engineer to build and operate production AI software systems for Abi, an emotionally intelligent humanoid companion robot used in aged care and healthcare settings. The role focuses on voice pipeline orchestration, conversational state management, memory and recall systems, telemetry, evaluation infrastructure, and reliable deployment on edge hardware under real-world constraints like ambient noise, unreliable networks, and constrained compute. Candidates should have 3+ years of software engineering experience, strong Python and async/concurrency skills, and production experience with AI/ML application systems, voice/conversational AI frameworks, and model integration. Bonus experience includes RAG, robotics/embedded Linux, evaluation harnesses, and production reliability work.
