Description
Huawei’s Pisa Research Institute is hiring a researcher to develop intelligent agent systems that assist and automate software development across the engineering lifecycle. The role investigates agent-based approaches for requirements analysis, architecture design, code generation, testing, debugging, and maintenance; develops workflows combining large language models, external tools, and knowledge sources; and researches long-horizon planning, memory, tool orchestration, and collaborative multi-agent systems. The position also involves evaluation methodologies, publications, prototypes, and technology demonstrators. Candidates need a master’s or PhD in a relevant discipline, software engineering and machine learning foundations, programming experience in Python, C++, or Java, and familiarity with large language models, agent frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation, or program analysis. The gross annual salary is typically €50,000 to €60,000, with a possible discretionary annual bonus.
