Description
The Air Traffic Control Tower Operator will perform full-performance air traffic control duties as a sole tower operator, operating Local Control, Ground Control, Flight Data, and Clearance Delivery positions. The role also includes controller-in-charge duties, training other controllers and trainees, weather observation and transmission, pilot report handling, and equipment-problem reporting. It is a full-time position at Quonset State Airport in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, with a 0800–2300 Monday–Friday and 0900–1800 Saturday–Sunday schedule, including weekends and holidays as required. Candidates must hold a current Control Tower Operator certificate, have at least three years of control-tower ATC experience, complete US military or FAA ATC technical training, hold or obtain a Class 2 FAA medical certificate and DOD security clearance, be a United States citizen, complete federal weather certification, and pass drug testing and background screening.
