Description
The Aircraft Inspector inspects aircraft, systems, equipment, and parts for airworthiness in compliance with FAA regulations and approved specifications. The role performs preflight and postflight inspections, quality and shipping inspections, repair inspections, stock re-inspections, work-order and inspection-form filing, audits, and quality-system reviews, while assisting the Chief Inspector with quality-data analysis. It requires an A&P license, a high school or GED, an associate's degree in aviation preferred, and at least five years of aircraft A&P mechanic experience, including prior aerospace quality-systems inspection experience and precision-measurement experience.
