Icarus is hiring a hands-on aircraft technician to build, assemble, modify, repair, test, and prepare solar-powered aircraft for flight. The role covers mechanical assembly, wiring, avionics installation, propulsion integration, lightweight structures, harnesses, inventory, ground testing, field operations, and flight-test preparation. Candidates should have practical hardware-building experience, strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn across mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and test work. The position is based at Icarus’ El Segundo factory, offers $30–$55 per hour, and includes health, dental, and vision insurance.
