Description
Electra is hiring an Airframe Design Engineer to support the design, integration, and development of primary and secondary structures for its nine-passenger EL9 hybrid-electric aircraft. The role covers fuselage, wing, empennage, and landing-gear integration; structural design through certification; airworthiness compliance; CAD documentation; trade studies; structural analysis; design reviews; supplier coordination; and mentorship. It is based at Electra’s Manassas, Virginia headquarters, with on-site presence strongly preferred and occasional travel under 10%. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, or a related engineering field, at least two years of aircraft structural or airframe design experience, and proficiency with 3D CAD tools. Compensation is $92,000–$112,000 USD, with medical, dental, and vision insurance and other benefits.
