The Airway Transportation Systems Specialist (ATSS) is a principal technical specialist responsible for the installation, evaluation, maintenance, modification, certification, troubleshooting, and security administration of the Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS) and other National Airspace System electronics, hardware, software, and facilities. The role independently resolves complex technical problems, coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, manages automation tickets, and supports major projects and program areas. Candidates must have extensive experience with automated aviation, navigation, and electronics systems, a valid driver's license, and U.S. citizenship; the posting also requires Selective Service registration for eligible males, an SF50, drug testing, and a supervisory endorsement if the move is a promotion.
