Applied Materials is hiring a full-time Algorithm Developer for its Rocket team in Santa Clara, California. The role develops AI/ML, physics-informed, and control algorithms for semiconductor manufacturing, including sensor-data pipelines, predictive and control models, ML surrogates, and software integrated with manufacturing systems. Candidates need a Ph.D. in a relevant quantitative discipline or a master’s degree with at least two years of relevant industry or research experience, along with expertise in theoretical physics, applied mathematics, computational science, simulation, machine learning, and software engineering.
