Applied Materials is hiring a full-time Algorithm Research Engineer for its 3D Metrology Algorithms team in Rehovot, Israel. The role researches, designs, and develops algorithms for semiconductor metrology, with a focus on computer vision, machine learning, signal processing, estimation theory, statistical modeling, and 3D structure deconvolution. The engineer will analyze complex datasets, collaborate with physicists, system engineers, and software developers, and drive algorithms from concept through implementation and validation. The position requires a master’s or doctoral degree in a quantitative field, strong mathematical and programming skills, and experience in computer vision, signal processing, estimation theory, and machine learning; semiconductor metrology experience is advantageous. The role includes approximately 10% travel and does not offer relocation eligibility.
